You will have the first hand experience of visiting the Negombo fish market just like the locals do. The only exception is that our Executive Chef will accompany you. You can pick from a wide variety of fresh fish, prawns, cuttlefish, crabs etc that is brought by the local fisherman who go out to the night sea.

Once you are back at the Hotel, our Chef will cook with you according to your liking and pallet. You can be involved in the cooking as much as you like or as little as you like. The chef will also make various accompaniments that will work well with your pick of the day.

When its time for lunch, you have your own cooked food to delight you on your culinary journey, which we believe is the finest way to remember a country that you have visited!!

Negombo is a traditional fishing town in Sri Lanka, and no wonder the town is a gourmet food lover’s paradise with seafood available in plenty. Negombo has a small port, and its economy is mainly based on tourism and its centuries-old fishing industry. You can start by visiting the Dutch Fort house, now a prison.

On completion proceed to visit the Muthrajawela Marsh, the Dutch Canal which was then a supply route to the Dutch administration. Complete the city tour by hopping on a boat for a ride along the Dutch canal.

The town has a majority of Roman Catholics along with Buddhists, Hindus and Muslims while it has been given the name “Little Rome” due to the highly ornate Portuguese-era Roman Catholic churches found within the township. The town has several buildings that date back to the Dutch and Portuguese colonial era.

Pay a visit to the St. Sebastian’s Church, St. Marys’ Church completed in 1920s with a ceiling decorated with beautiful religious paintings.

The Katuwapitiya Church and the Grand Street Church are the two biggest parishes in Negombo. “Agurukaramulla temple” is a famous Buddhist temple bringing Buddhists from all over Sri Lanka to Negombo every year.

We will take you to Colombo via the high way in an air-conditioned vehicle. In Colombo our partners will take you by World War II style Jeeps to visit the most important tourist attractions in Colombo. There will be unlimited local beverages including beer and local bites for you to have that perfect tourist feel to your trip.

You can combine the sightseeing with either lunch at a famous local restaurant or dinner and shopping at a famous hangout. This depends on your preference. Once you are done, we will take you back in air-conditioned vehicle to your very own hotel in Negombo to rest the night after an eventful day or evening.
